8R in Miss Boyle’s English class explore the convention of letter writing this week in English to refine their skills before writing to the P6 class in Carrowdore Primary School. They focused on perfecting their spelling, punctuation and using a formal tone. For some students this was their first actual written Christmas Card, as they usually just send a text - how times have changed! It was rewarding to see so many of them post their cards to a pen pal barely 100 metres away. We look forward to continuing to write to each other in the terms ahead. Mr. McCartney and Miss Boyle were so impressed with the creative cards from the Carrowdore Primary School students.
